Allshores is partnering with the DailyMale with a donation of $270,000 over three years.

The donation will support the use of their medical van for screening outreach by the DailyMale and other healthcare organisations. The goal is to improve access to preventative screening and health-related activities across Bermuda.

Allshores will also use the van to offer a mobile screening service for targeted client segments, specifically those in industries where employees may find it harder to get to their doctors for check-ups due to their location or hours of work.

Abigail Clifford, Allshores Group President and CEO, comments, "Partnering with the DailyMale charity over three years allows us to bring essential health services to people who might otherwise go without. We are really pleased to help fund sustainable programmes such as these that strengthen communities. We are committed to supporting both DailyMale's impact today and its vision to extend that reach even further through other health organisations."

Peter Lozier, EVP Group Head of Benefits, says, "Making it easier to access the care and tests that are covered by their premium is important to us. It's important because when people can address health issues early, it is easier to treat and manage. This is better for individuals, who then have better chances of managing their health. It also avoids much higher costs down the line if an issue progresses.

"This is a critical way we can help put the brakes on healthcare premium increases, which means money saved for individuals and businesses. This is why at Allshores we are investing in staff who can be a real support and help to our clients. It's better for individuals, communities and brings some control over healthcare costs."

Shakira Warner, Head of Population Health at Allshores adds, "We are committed to helping our clients not only have access to these critical tests, but importantly getting them connected to care resources through our local care support service. Hypertension can be discovered, before it turns into a stroke. Diabetes can be identified before your eyesight or kidneys are damaged. Cardiac issues may be found before you have a heart attack. Yet we know that in some industries, long hours, access challenges, or even the cost of a copay create real barriers for people in terms of getting their age-appropriate screenings. The mobile screening van can help remove some of these barriers, for both men and women."

"This three years of funding is great news for the DailyMale and our community screening programme," says Dr Jonathon Makanjuola, founder of the DailyMale charity. "Even more, I am really happy to see that the van is being used to give easier access to healthcare testing for people and improving the health of the community. Our van is a fantastic resource and this partnership is a great example of how we can use it to improve health outcomes for our families and community."

The Allshores Wellness team will be visiting a number of local businesses and offering various screenings, including:

  • Podiatry and musculoskeletal screening
  • Biometrics (body composition, lipid panel, blood sugar, blood pressure, mental health screening)
  • PSA (prostate cancer) blood test screening for men
